Rex McGee is a Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist and brings technical expertise that surpasses most hearing aid clinics and lends to a more complete patient experience rarely found elsewhere. Rex not only knows the fitting and testing protocol for hearing aid practices, he is very familiar with the inside of hearing aids. Most repairs, which are not under manufacturer warranty, are repaired in-house by Rex using original parts and equipment purchased direct from their respective manufacturers. If a hearing aid is broken, you can be assured Rex will fix it. Rex has been involved in the hearing aid industry since 1995 and opened Enhanced Hearing Center in 1999. His passion is knowing he has been given a gift to help people hear well and using the skills and gifts that have been given to him to the best of his ability. The patient, working with Rex, is considered very important and treated as if they were his favorite aunt or uncle. Rex is a native of Missouri, born and raised in Springfield. He is married to his beautiful wife, Corrina and has seven wonderful children, Brittlee, Austin, Tearnie, Dallas, Maverick, Marshall and Jasper. Outside the office, you will often find Rex cheering on his children at their various sporting events. He also loves to travel, play the drums (Rock Star), and play with his three grandchildren.
Austin McGee joined the family business at Enhanced Hearing Center after graduating from college in 2014 with a degree in Hearing Instrument Science. Austin's positive attitude is contagious and his determination to do whatever it takes to help people hear is what makes him a favorite with many of our patients.
Growing up Austin achieved Eagle Scout ranking in boy scouts. Austin graduated from Kickapoo High School in 2010. He served an honorable 2 year mission in Paraguay, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys working with the Latin community. Austin married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life Alex in 2013. In his off time he enjoys working with Alex in her video and photography business McGee Creative.
On the weekends you will find Austin and Alex doing wedding and family photography, spending time with their pet snake October, going to church and eating Sunday dinners with family.
Amber started working in the hearing aid industry in 2000, and has held every position that can be obtained within the industry: from Patient Care Coordinator up to General Manager. In 2014, she joined the Enhanced Hearing family. She remarks, “This career is extremely rewarding, I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. I want to improve lives and make a difference. There is no better feeling than when I put hearing aids on patients for the first time and watch their eyes light up. The smile that appears on their faces is unimaginable."
Amber has a unique and personal connection with her patients. Amber’s personal family experiences have caused her to be passionate about helping people hear and understand their loved ones.
Amber is originally from Clever, MO but has since then moved to Crane MO with her husband and four children. She considers herself a native of the area. Amber likes spending time with her family, singing karaoke and driving a Pure Stock Racecar at the local race track. She also loves to spend time at the lake during the summer.
Patient Care Coordinator/Office Manager
Cindy came to enhanced hearing center after 20+ years in a corporate office setting where she spent time traveling to branch offices, setting up large trade shows and working part time in outside sales. In 2015 she was ready for a change. She wanted to work for a local small business where we know our patients and are able to provide more personal one on one service. Cindy manages the office and works at the front desk of Enhanced Hearing Center. She enjoys helping out with the cleaning and minor repairs of hearing aids. She also creates our newsletters and updates our website and facebook page. Cindy was born in Oakland California. Her parents moved the family to the Springfield are in the late 60s. She attended Republic High School graduating in 1984. Cindy has been married to her husband Kelly for 33 years and they have one daughter, Andie and a son-in-law Kempton. They enjoy collecting antique farm tractors and love participating in local tractor pulls.
